With any home electrical wiring project, before you begin working on a circuit you MUST make sure the power is OFF to that circuit. This instructional video reviews methods of testing a circuit using a variety of testers, including a digital multi meter, voltage tester, plug tester or even a radio to confirm that the power is off.
This is a short, but informative video clip from a national television show that I appeared in several years ago. I served as the electrical expert, answered live calls from people across the country, and provided educational tips and home electrical wiring advice targeted towards the DIY audience.
